The Bite

Dentistry has turned into “one tooth at a time” dentistry.  Many dentists don’t look at the system as a whole. Dawson training allows Dr. Jenny to think about how this one filling affects the entire “Bite”.  Sometimes a cracked tooth, sore muscles, or even jaw joint noise is happening due to a system problem.  There is a cause behind every tooth, jaw joint and muscle problem. She is trained to solve the cause vs. just treat the problem. It is possible to prevent these type of problems with the correct diagnostic tests, exam and thoughtful planning.  Everyone can have an even, comfortable long lasting bite.

Unlike most dentists, Dr. Jenny practice the Concept of Complete Dentistry, which emphasizes a comprehensive, individualized approach to a patient’s dental care, beginning with prevention and early intervention. Contrary to what you might think, this does not mean drill and fill every tooth. We offer the convenience of a local dentist for general dentistry and preventive care with the expertise and advanced capabilities to treat complex dental problems.

Complete Dentistry requires an understanding of every structural part of your chewing system, including you jaw joints, facial and temporal muscles and teeth.  In the long run, this could save you from years of pain, suffering and extensive costs for multiple and repeated dental work.  A screening is part of every patient exam so that Dr. Jenny can properly diagnose and treat not only the obvious problems, but also those that have not even shown signs yet! Analyzing the 10 structural and functional factors in the chewing system is the basis of a Occlusal Evaluation.

Did you know that most dental problems are not painful at first, but can be identified by a trained dentist before any symptoms or damage occur?

Dr Jenny started her training with The Dawson Academy in 2006 and graduated in April 2013.  As a graduate she is one of only 10% of dentists in the country who practice the Concept of Complete Dentistry. She can identify the signs of problems before any symptoms or damage occur, which means you can receive treatments in a more conservative and less costly manner.  It also means she is trained to bring back form, function and health to a person that has had extensive damage to the system.
